SECTION 26. Prompt payment of membership dues. – A lawyer shall promptly pay the annual membership dues in the IBP, unless expressly exempt from such payment by law or rules. (2023 Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability or CPRA)
1. Prompt payment of membership dues
a. Duty to pay membership dues
Under this section, lawyers are required to “promptly pay the annual membership dues in the IBP.”
b. Exceptions
The duty is subject to the exception: “unless expressly exempt from such payment by law or rules.”
